Steiff has partnered with National Geographic and created a special collection of plush toy animals in support of preserving biodiversity. Proceeds from the sale of any National Geographic product support scientists, explorers and researchers from the National Geographic Society all over the world.
The collection includes a wide variety of animals that were photographed by Joel Sartore for the National Geographic Photo Ark Species Preservation project.
The so-called Red Panda is also known as the lesser panda, cat-bear, fox-bear and firefox. But its natural habitat is being destroyed, and it’s also hunted. It mainly lives in China and neighbouring countries.
Steiff’s Bendi Red Panda is a beautifully designed likeness,so similar to the real thing. It’s 30cm tall, crafted from red/brown cuddly soft Steiff plush fabric and has the most attractive gaze.
Its back, cheeks, rear head and bushy tail are a ginger colour just like the real thing. It has a stable posture with white paws and delicate looking pads. Its ears and cheeks are beige. The face and head are decorated with brown and white using elaborate Steiff airbrushing.
Proceeds from the sale of any Steiff National Geographic products support scientists, explorers and researchers from the National Geographic Society all over the world.
