Over the past 30 years, the number of giraffes has dropped by 40%. Their numbers are constantly falling because their natural habitat is being destroyed. Magda Giraffe is part of the National Geographic range, especially designed by Steiff to help promote understanding about the threat posed to these impressive Masai giraffes.
It’s a particularly striking representation of its species. 26cm tall, made of speckled cuddly soft plush fabric, standing stably thanks to legs supported by wiring. The plush fabric is printed in typical Masai giraffe colours. The tip of her tail is black.
Steiff has partnered with National Geographic and created a special collection of plush toy animals in support of preserving biodiversity. Proceeds from the sale of any National Geographic product support scientists, explorers and researchers from the National Geographic Society all over the world.
