In the 1920s, Steiff released a variety of timeless teddy bears that could not fail to match the joyful interwar years mood, now known as the roaring twenties. The most coveted of these bears were made from tipped mohair - where the tips of the mohair are a different colour. These beautiful bears had large eyes, a less pronounced snout and an overall had a softer, friendlier face than previous teddies. An original tipped Teddy bear from 1926 sold for 156,240 Euros and still holds the World Record as the most expensive auctioned antique Teddy bear ever. Just like the original, this Steiff Teddy bear Replica 1926 has the famous Steiff squeaker in its belly and comes in a limited edition of just 926.
